Volunteer Application

Every great event needs great volunteers. Interested in lending a helping hand to the Good Food Fest? Please sign-up below. All volunteers get free admission to the event before or after their shift, a free GFF t-shirt, free snacks and water, and a meal is provided to any volunteer working more than 5 hours.

Volunteer Shifts

  • FRIDAY 10/30, PRE-EVENT PREP

    • SHIFT FULL FRIDAY 10/30 Set Up: 3pm - 7pm **must be able to lift tables (~50 lbs)

  • SUNDAY 11/1, DAY-OF EVENT

    • SHIFT FULL SUNDAY 11/1 Parking/Floater: 8:30am - 12pm **assisting our event staff OR assisting our professional parking staff, who will direct you accordingly

    • SHIFT FULL SUNDAY 11/1 Parking: 11am - 2pm **assisting our professional parking staff, who will direct you accordingly

    • SUNDAY 11/1 Sustainability: 11am - 4pm **helping guests properly sort recycling, trash, and compost with guidance from our Sustainability Team

    • SUNDAY 11/1 Sustainability: 11am - 1:30pm **helping guests properly sort recycling, trash, and compost with guidance from our Sustainability Team

    • SUNDAY 11/1 Sustainability: 1:30pm - 4pm **helping guests properly sort recycling, trash, and compost with guidance from our Sustainability Team

    • SUNDAY 11/1 Clean Up: 4pm - 7pm **must be able to lift tables (~50 lbs)

Volunteer Duties

  • PRE-EVENT PREP (Fri 10/30*)

    • Set-up 8ft tables throughout venue

      • Must be able to carry with a partner

    • Set-up folding chairs in Demo Kitchen

    • Install snow fence & posts

    • Move picnic tables (with a group)

    • Set-up high top tables

    • Set-up canopy tents & signage

    • Hang signage around venue

    • Set-up event trash cans

    • Set-up decor: corn stalks, pumpkins, mums around venue

*At this time, our set-up shift priority is Friday 10/30 from 3-7pm. If you are available but cannot volunteer for the entire shift (ie. come late or leave early), we still encourage you to apply and include a note in the “questions” box. Dependent on response, we may open up a Saturday 10/31 (9am-1pm) set-up shift, but our priority is to fill Friday 10/30 first.

Volunteer Duties

  • DAY-OF EVENT PARKING (Sun 11/1)

    • Our professional parking staff will direct and support all parking volunteers

    • Volunteers will primarily be directing traffic of incoming cars to the correct parking areas, where our professional parking staff will be available to direct parking

  • DAY-OF EVENT SUSTAINABILITY (Sun 11/1)

    • Help guests properly sort recycling, trash, and compost with guidance from our Sustainability Team

  • DAY-OF EVENT CLEAN UP (Sun 11/1)

    • Remove snow fence & posts

    • Collect all signage

    • Clean-up trash & bring all to dumpster

    • Remove all decor & set for farmers to take

    • Breakdown all 8ft tables & move to appropriate area

    • Breakdown all Demo Kitchen folding chairs

    • Sweep inside large barn

    • Clean indoor bathrooms

    • Breakdown canopy tents & signage

    • Pack all event materials in truck
